PHASE 2 - RENOVATION UPDATE
We now have a physical church home. Your contribution to our fundraising campaign has allowed us to purchase the property and to continue to impact thousands of people in our community with the hope of Christ for years to come. We invite you to come rebuild with us!
Over 25 years ago, when our family settled in South Texas, we couldn’t imagine what God was going to do through our ministry in the coming decades. As we look at the future and all those who God has called us to, we are ready for a permanent home that reflects the mission and vision of our outreach initiatives.
We have arrived at the doorsteps of an opportunity. Will you partner with us to purchase our permanent church home?
A message from Pastor Hugo Moya
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I hereby address you on behalf of Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive.
We are a church committed to knowing God through the study of the Bible and the moving of the Holy Spirit. Dedicated to the great commission of sharing the good news of salvation, Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive has dedicated more than 20 years of ministry in South Texas.
Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive shares the gospel message locally and internationally by serving and ministering to families living in South Texas and beyond, planting churches, equipping church leaders, and advocating for the displaced among us. We reach many low-income communities and families with the purpose to offer greater spiritual knowledge, empower them to revive or improve their relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and provide tools and education to encourage a quality spiritual lifestyle.
You and/or your church’s previous support through our various ministry initiatives has been greatly influential and impactful to the communities we serve. It is your continued support that sustains our mission and makes all the difference. Therefore, I am taking the liberty to write and request, in the most attentive way, that you continue partnering with us to finish the work God has started in South Texas.
Currently, Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive meets in a spare room connected to a tire repair garage, but an opportunity to purchase a property has arrived at our doorstep. Our goal is to raise a total of $165,00 to obtain and remodel our new church building. To date, we have already raised $45,000, but still need to raise $120,000, of which $70,000 will go to purchasing the property. While it sounds like such a large sum of money, it does not compare to the value of the lives that will be impacted and transformed. Raising our goal of $70,000 by October 15, 2019, will allow us to purchase the property. The campaign will then continue to raise the remaining $50,000 so we can begin the remodeling process.
Furthermore, your donations will provide:
A facility to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.
A new ministry center for mobilization efforts and biblical training.
The ability to host pastoral meetings and local church gatherings.
A space to accommodate growth and meet current food storage needs.
A shelter for migrants and asylum seekers.
A space to do more community outreach.
Through this letter, we thank you and your Church. A commemorative plaque will be placed at the entrance of our church building to show our gratitude for those who make this possible. In addition, your donation will be tax-deductible.
We appreciate your attention and support in advance.
Sincerely,
Pastor Hugo & Eunice Moya

UPDATE From Pastor Moya | 12/3/2019
After a recent conversation and prayer with the seller, he has agreed to lower the $115,000 asking price to $80,000. We have raised a total of $63,857 though this campaign. We are in the final stretch to raise the final $20,000 to complete the property purchase. Please consider supporting this campaign to help us acquire the new property by the end of 2019.
Thank you for partnering with us!
UPDATE From Pastor Moya | 1/27/2020
Just before the end of 2019, we learned that the owner of the property was willing to negotiate the purchase price for our new church home. We prayed, continued to build a friendship with the owner, and made an offer of $80,000 (sale price listed is $115,000).
It is with great excitement that I share our offer was accepted! We now have a physical church home. Your contribution to our fundraising campaign has allowed us to purchase the property and to continue to impact thousands of people in our community with the hope of Christ for years to come.
We have completed phase one, and we are so excited about entering the renovation phase to develop this property to its full potential. At this time we still need to raise a total of $50,000 to enter into full renovation mode!
We are humbled by the blessings God has bestowed upon us through you. Thank you so much for your support. We hope you’ll consider continuing to support our mission and inviting others to do so in 2020.
